THE Victorian era was revived to celebrate a special milestone at a Knutsford care home.
Residents on Hall Lane in Mobberley stepped back in time to celebrate Cranford Grange’s 18th anniversary.
The event was inspired was inspired by Victorian author Elizabeth Gaskell, who lived in Knutsford and penned the novel Cranford, from which the home's name is derived.

Complimentary Cranford books were handed out as staff dressed up in costumes and turned the home into a Victorian manor house.

Residents, relatives and the local community were treated to a Victorian high tea, featuring a selection of sandwiches and cakes made by the home's head chef.
Former mayor Cllr Stewart Gardiner and local businesses joined the celebration.

Bubbly and Victorian inspired cocktails were served to guests.
General manager Lisa Burrows said: “It was wonderful to see the home transformed and everyone dressed up to celebrate our anniversary and pay homage to Elizabeth Gaskell who is part of Knutsford's rich history.

“The whole team worked incredibly hard to organise this event, making this party one we will definitely remember for many years to come.
