A VERY well attended meeting was held in Little Bollington on June 21 and councillors and members of the public were invited to question engineer Colin Watson and Nigel Hennerley from the Green Party as well as industry spokesman Tom Pickering from Ineos Upstream.

There were presentations and slides from both perspectives which looked at the potential risks and harms of the unconventional gas extraction process.

Most of the concerns centred on property values and insurance issues, fugitive gas leakage and vast number of required vehicle movements. I would like to thank Ineos for attending on a very warm evening after a long day at the Royal Cheshire Country Show.
