A loss for the town’s people
THE loss of Ms Bancroft from the Knutsford council is a loss for the people of the town.
Is it another example of ‘Blue on Blue’ in-fighting in the council?
The Blue on Blue arises because there is no political opposition in the council chamber.This situation occurred a few years ago and resulted in four members resigning from the town council.
Knutsford council needs to be independent. It is not about satisfying Tory central office and Cheshire East Council.
An example of this is to be found in rejection of the Town Plan after 4,000 responses and the introduction of a neighbourhood plan with less than 100 responses. It is a great pity that hard working councillors are moved to resign.
