I HAVE recently moved from Alderley Edge to Chelford and am delighted to discover that my area is covered by a local newspaper.

In this age of online communications, this is becoming increasingly rare.

I have noticed over the last few weeks several letters critical of our MP, George Osborne have appeared in the Guardian.

By way of balance, I have to say that my experience of George over the years that he has been our MP has been very positive.

I have lobbied him on minor matters from time to time and found a willingness to consider a different point of view.

Additionally on the one occasion that I really needed the intervention and support of my MP, George was more than willing to assist, making suggestions as to the way to solve my problem and writing letters and making phone calls on my behalf.

If the Boundary Commission’s proposals are implemented George will lose his seat and be forced to apply for another.

From my own experience any constituency would be well served by an MP like George Osborne.
