IN RESPONSE to Lib Dem Roger Barlow, I would like to express my desire to live in a democratic society and satisfy the will of the people in regards to Brexit.
Mr Barlow’s and other’s inference that “we didn’t know what we voted for” is becoming quite nauseating and insults everyone’s intelligence.
Yes, there was lots of poetic licence in both sides of the campaign.
As a relatively sane person I took this into account when I visited the polling station.
On a personal level, what I voted for was to retain my country’s sovereignty, control my countries borders and become masters of our own destiny.
I acknowledge this might come at a cost from an economic point of view but I believe this will be short term and is a price that is well worth paying.
We have provided a mandate to the government to negotiate the best possible deal for the future.
