WE NOW know the result and our children and grandchildren will have to live with the consequences.
We now know results shows that in the 18-24 group 64 per cent voted to remain – what is there now for them to remain in?
Knutsford has an ageing population. How many parents/ grandparents, if unsure what their vote would mean for their children/ grandchildren, asked how they would vote?
If mystified by the whole unpleasant political debate, why didn’t they do so?
By the time this all unravels many of us ‘older’ voters will be dead and gone, having enjoyed early retirements, index linked pensions, health care, holidays abroad, owned our homes – indeed, never had it so good!
I wonder if our children/ grandchildren will say the same?
Sadly, they will not have a United Kingdom.
Jackie Robertson Knutsford
