WITH more than 19,000 people living with dementia in Cheshire and numbers set to rise, we want readers to get involved in Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Awareness Week, May 17-23.
Life doesn’t end when dementia begins and new experiences can bring joy to a person’s life even as memories fade.
To mark Dementia Awareness Week, I’d like to encourage readers to ‘do something new’ and help raise awareness of the condition. From dining at a new restaurant to visiting a local landmark for the first time, everyone can play their part.
Share photos by tweeting us @alzsocnwengland, posting on our Facebook page facebook.com/AlzheimersSocietyNorthWest using the hashtags #DoSomethingNew for #DAW2015.
