WITH reference to Mr Ruff ’s letter in last week’s Guardian, I too received notification of a £70 parking fine for parking at Macclesfield car park, which showed my car arriving and then leaving some 38 minutes later, 18 minutes over the free parking time.
However, I had paid £2.20 for two hours’ parking. Fortunately I still had the proof of purchase ticket, which I was able to use in my appeal. I suggest that anyone parking at the hospital keep their ticket just in case.
