HAVING waged a one woman war for 'my' Wallwood in recent months/years I was delighted to see the Knutsford Guardian highlighting the rapid deterioration of the newly renovated paths.
Such a pity since the wood is being better maintained now than a few years ago.
I live nearby and use this area daily. It has always been a popular cut through from Tatton Street to Tatton Park but the mud and mess after heavy rainfall was very bad.
After meetings with councillors and chats with the town clerk I am assured that this matter is being dealt with albeit slowly.
Low level lighting is also needed. Much money has been spent on this project so, of course, residents are concerned.
We all hope this will be resolved before better weather increases traffic.
Wallwood is a small but perfectly formed asset for the town. We must tend it well.
