WE were fortunate enough to attend the Mistletoe Market Consultation on March 20, before the further consultation sessions had to be postponed because of illness.
We were able to meet members of the Living World Events team and listened to their presentations.
As Knutsford residents living near to the Little Heath, we were naturally concerned to hear of plans that included playing continuous Christmas music during the market opening hours, electricity generators continually humming, lines of portable toilets and delivery vehicles arriving.
There was even the suggestion that a taxi rank be set up for patrons of the market to be ferried to the train station or home.
We are now even more concerned after being informed that Living World Events has never organised a Christmas market before. Our advice to anyone intending to visit Knutsford during November and December this year is not to expect a good experience.
Sadly for us as residents we shall not have that choice.
