COUNCILLORS at borough level will next week look over the Local Plan for the borough for the last time.
Of course, that means looking at sites in Knutsford, Goostrey, Mobberley and Holmes Chapel which would be developed for housing, employment and recreational facilities.
This process has gone on for a long time, but it is not over yet.
Residents will have one more chance to have an input into the plan before it goes to the Planning Inspectorate.
Arguably this is the most important time for homeowners, who have an opportunity to say what they want to see in their town or village.
Wading through page after page of online documents is not easy. It is a pretty painful exercise, but if you can set aside an hour and have a look at Cheshire East Council’s website then do – and make your voice heard.
In other news, storms hit the county last Wednesday.

Emergency services and council workers should be praised for getting out and helping those who were stranded.
And Scottish Power managed to get the majority of homeowners’ power up and running again in 24 hours.
Father-of-two Dan Barlow, from Macclesfield, died on Thursday morning in a collision in Lower Withington. It happened near to a tree that had fallen into the road the night before.

As the Guardian hit the shops today, Wednesday, there were still reports of phones out on Mobberley Road, but thankfully this seems to be a one-off issue rather than the norm.
