ALMOST two years on from when the original planning application was submitted Bure Valley’s plans to create an adventure playground in Tatton Park will go before a planning committee next month.

It has been a long journey for the company behind BeWILDerwood.

They’ve twice been asked to supply more information regarding their plans.

That has been on top of great scrutiny after it was revealed the park would cost Cheshire East Council £5.5 million in the form of a loan to them.

Whether you are for or against the park, the meeting in March will be one to watch.

Bill Armstrong, aged 16, has to be applauded for standing up and creating an online petition against the plans to build 100 homes near to his home in Holmes Chapel.

His argument is measured and thoughtful.

The village has expanded in recent years and Bill believes its infrastructure won’t be able to cope if the homes are built.

It is good to hear a youngster having genuine concern about where he lives.

Hopefully some of Bill’s drive will rub off on his peers.
