MORLEY Green were the big movers in Week 22 of the Knutsford and District Amateur Snooker League.
A 6-1 demolition of Mobberley A saw them jump from fifth into second – and they now trail leaders Shaw Heath by just three points.
The leaders’ recent stumble continued as they were thrashed 6-1 by Tatton B, for whom Bob Jones scored 106 points.
Meanwhile, Mere A’s superb form continues – their 4-3 win over defending champions Tatton A was their seventh in a row and moves them firmly into title contention.
One team who could not take advantage of Shaw Heath’s slip-up was Mobberley C, who went down to a 5-2 defeat against Wilmslow Cons A.
Mobberley B beat Mere B by the same scorline while Tatton C edged out Wilmslow Cons B 4-3 in a match that featured three-figure frame scores from Wilmslow’s Jason Robinson and Tatton’s Rick Peers.
