SHAW Heath are certainly making their move in the Knutsford and District Amateur Snooker League.
Their good form continued in Week 10 of the competition as they racked up a fifth straight victory, with John Berry’s 100-point frame score featuring breaks of 30 and 40 starring in a 5-2 win over bottom side Wilmslow Cons B.
They now sit just two points behind league leaders Mobberley C with a game in hand, which they are due to play this week.
The table-toppers were edged out in a tight ‘derby’ match with their club’s A team, who secured a 4-3 win when captain Paul Adkin potted the final black ball.
Elsewhere, a 5-2 win over Mobberley B allowed Tatton A to move up to third in the table while just behind them are Heald Green, who beat Tatton B by the same scoreline.
After defeats in their first seven games, Wilmslow Cons A got back on track with a 5-2 win at Mere A while Mere B made it back-to-back victories with a narrow 4-3 triumph over Tatton B.
