RAILWAY A can all but make sure they finish as runners-up to champions-elect Victory Hall A if they beat Knutsford A in their next match.

They clash in the Knutsford Friday League’s top-flight tomorrow, Friday, with 68 points between them.

Both recorded comfortable home wins, against Swettenham A and Church Inn B respectively, last time out.

Victory Hall A racked up an 18th successive win, with Chelford A their latest victims, and remain on course for a perfect season.

Division Two pacesetters Knutsford B suffered only a third defeat of the campaign when they lost narrowly, by two chalks, at second-placed Swettenham B.

Warford Park B stay third, albeit 60 points short of a promotion position, after beating High Legh B.

Victory Hall B were the week’s leading-scorers after posting 161, returning seven winning cards, at home to Oughtrington A.
