Knutsford 83 Crewe & Nantwich 4th 7
INSPIRED Knutsford dismantled the unbeaten record of table-toppers Crewe and Nantwich on Saturday.
Expectations of a close encounter were high and coach Mike Davies set out his side to play with high intensity, clarity and focus.
It worked a treat as Knutsford closed the gap on the top two to four points.
A swirling mixture of rapid back plays, marshalled by Cook, with structured forward defence engineered by Dunkerley, Robertson and Cornes was too much for Crewe to handle.
Full-back Davis was torpedo like in attack and Fuller shaped elegant running lines, resulting in fine running tries from distance.
n RUGBY legend Scott Quinnell will be guest speaker at Knutsford RUFC's sportsman's dinner tat the Belle Epoque tomorrow, Friday, in a fund raiser for the club's mini and junior section.
