KNUTSFORD secured a place in the Cheshire Alliance Second XI Cup final after despatching their Mossley counterparts on Saturday.

Knutsford's first team suffered a five-wicket defeat at home to Trafford in the Division Two Cup.

Nasir Mohammed (49) fell just short of a half-century in the hosts' 143 all out before Yogesh Ingale (60no) steered his side to victory in the 31st over.

Adnan Ghazanfar and Shake Shimul took two wickets apiece for Knutsford.
