UNDERDOGS Chelford B have reached the semi finals of the Knutsford Friday League’s Team Knockout for a second successive year.
Runners-up in last season’s edition, the Division Two outfit defeated clubmates Chelford A at Railway Inn to secure a last four spot.
Their reward is a meeting with Church Inn A, who squeezed past Goostrey B by a three-chalk margin, on finals day next month.
Cranford A are the only top-flight side still standing, overturning a 16-point handicap deficit to beat Division One rivals High Legh A by 14 at Chelford.
They will face Oughtrington A, who surprised higher-ranked Knutsford BC A at Victory Hall.
The three-time winners started the contest 68-chalks adrift, but fell short by eight on aggregate.
Mere are hosts for finals day on Sunday, July 12.
