STEVE Flinders’ run of 40 was a highlight of champions Mobberley A’s emphatic success at Tatton in the Knutsford and District Amateur League’s latest round.
Closest rivals Morley lost on aggregate at Brook Street A, allowing Wilmslow Cons A – boosted by Jonathan Smith’s break of 51 in a 100-point frame – to close a gap in the Division One table following a 6-1 success at Mobberley B.
Mobberley C are near-certain to be relegated following a 5-2 defeat at Shaw Heath.
Mere B sit at the Division Two summit after easing past Mobberley E, though Brook Street B’s solid 5-2 win over Mere C keeps them in contention.
Mobberley D and Mere A were the week’s other winners, against Wilmslow Cons B and Royal London respectively.
