MORLEY pinched an aggregate point from the final black of a close encounter with Knutsford and District Amateur Snooker League champions Mobberley A this week.
Jonathan Smith’s run of 51 was a highlight of Wilmslow Cons A’s defeat of back-markers Mobberley C, while Tatton squeezed past Mobberley B on aggregate.
Brook Street A eased their fears of being relegated by beating fellow strugglers Shaw Heath.
Promotion hopefuls Mere A and Mobberley D both lost in Division Two, to Wilmslow Cons B and Brook Street B respectively.
Mere C picked up only a second success of the season, beating Mobberley E, while Mere B strengthened their lead at the summit following a 5-2 defeat of Royal London B.
