EGERTON could not prevent Cheshire League Division Two promotion hopefuls Runcorn Town reserves from establishing a three-point lead at the table’s summit at the weekend.

Tico Mihedji and substitute Shaun Freeman were on target for the Knutsford outfit in a 4-2 defeat at Mereheath Lane.
