EIGHTEEN records were broken at the Knutsford Vikings Swim Club Championships.
Adam Frost, overall winner of the 14 years and over boys’ category, set eight new best times for the two-day event at Knutsford Leiisure Centre.
Another six of the records fell to Beth Simms, the 12 to 13-year-old girls’ victor.
James Petty, the eight to nine-year-old boys’ overall winner, Georgia Mason and Florence Thwaites-Miles also broke new ground.
Katie Welch, Will Simms, Lizzy Abel, Georgina Clarke, Ben Mitchell, Max Allanson, Alex Baldry and Phoebe Allanson were the other section success stories.
More children took part in the championship than before and head coach Steve Parry paid tribute to all involved, competitors and organisers.
“This is my second year at the club championships and it’s rewarding to see the improvements that everyone is making,” he said.
“With more personal best recorded times than ever, the team is starting to win more and more medals and topping the championships at regional galas.”
