The recent meeting of Knutsford and District Flower Club was opened by Chairman, Julie Wade. Members were reminded to book tickets for the Christmas lunch and also for the Christmas workshop on Saturday, November 22.

Pat Murphy of Appleton was the demonstrator, her beautiful designs entitled 'Inside and Out' were inspired by the interiors of homes of well known designers including Barbara Hulanicki and Constance Spry. Pat used beautiful roses from Ecuador in a range of colours to suit her individual designs. The vote of thanks was given by Sheila Bettridge.

The competition was entitled 'Before the Fall'. Novice and New Members: 1. Felicia Dykstra; 2. Lorraine Dorsett; 3. Jackie Page. Intermediate: 1. Lillie Gradel; 2. Phyllis Stuffins; 3. Marilu Knowles. Advanced: 1. Marilyn Makepeace-Warne; 2. Julie Wade; 3. Win Ross. Premier: 1. Mary Marshall; 2. Dorothy Monks; 3. Joan Wilkinson.

The next meeting is on Wednesday, November 19 at 2pm in Plumley Village Hall with national demonstrator, Bill Dixon with 'A Touch of Frost'. The competition is 'Let's Dance'. Visitors are welcome at a charge of £6.00.
