Knutsford and District Lions Club is busy making preparations for its annual fundraising concert on Friday, October 3, at the Methodist Church, raising funds for Knutsford Lions charities.
The Fish Lip Soup Big Band is back by popular demand to provide an entertaining evening of swing and jazz. Tickets cost £8 each and are available at Mr Simms Sweet Shoppe and the Heritage Centre. They are also available at the door on the night. All are welcome.
The club are able to recycle unwanted spectacles for use in third world countries. Please take any spectacles to the Heritage Centre or to Wendy Diddams Opticians on Minshull Street.
A major new joint initiative with Knutsford Town Council is to be launched very soon, 'Young Leaders in Service' is a scheme to recognise the efforts made by young local people in helping others in the community over a one year period. More information will be available soon.
Upcoming social events include an al-fresco lunch at the home of one member and an amble and Sunday lunch at a local hostelry the following month.
