KNUTSFORD Churches Together hosted a Pentecost Picnic on The Moor, joined by town mayor Councillor Neil Forbes and his wife mayoress Jacquelyn Forbes, with a large gathering of people enjoying food together on what was a glorious sunny afternoon.
A short All Age Service followed, featuring music led by Graham Boler with musicians from the different churches.
There was also a dramatic storytelling presentation by Open the Book, who lead assemblies in local schools. Games activities included face painting and transfers, as well as more traditional children’s games, with adults joining in a very competitive game of Crocker.
Margaret Boler closed the event with a word of thanks to everyone who had worked so hard to make the afternoon such a success.
This was followed by a closing blessing upon those present and the whole town of Knutsford from Father John Joyce.
Pentecost was a time when everyone heard and understood about God’s love for them.
