MEMBERS were in celebratory mood at the March meeting, as it was the 54th birthday celebration of Crosstown WI.
Business items and social reports were quickly dealt with, and suggestions were asked for future outings and several members took flags to embroider for the centenary year in 2015.
A quiz was held, followed by refreshments of tea and cakes.
Afterwards two poems were read from The Chairman’s choice of 2010 followed by humorous sayings by schoolchildren on the Old and New Testaments.
The competition was won by Bella Furneaux and after the raffle the meeting closed at 4pm.
