THE Mere Resort and Spa scooped the title of best wedding venue in south Manchester in a prestigious awards bash this week.
The team from the resort was victorious at the Manchester 'Eat, Drink and Sleep' awards having been shortlisted for two achievements.
Held at the Mecure Piccadilly, guests were treated to a musical performance from Rachael Hudson, before the awards began.
After 63,000 public votes 34 winners were honoured as the best eateries, drinkeries and places to stay across Greater Manchester.
Having been shortlisted for Best Wedding Venue and Best Luxury Hotel in South Manchester, the Mere was delighted to take home the award for its dedicated and bride-savvy wedding team.
Tracey Wilkinson, wedding co-ordinator, said: "Creating a wedding that meets a bride's lifelong vision takes research, planning, dedicated team work and meticulous organisation.
"The Mere Wedding Team don't offer 'off the shelf' options. We take the time to get to know our brides, what they love, what they've been dreaming of, and turn their vision into a day that suits them perfectly.
