AN ex-serviceman is determined to raise the fitness levels of Knutsford residents.

Stuart Ness, 29, from Irlam, has started running boot camp classes in Knutsford with the aim of bringing a fun, outdoor and low cost fitness option to the town.

Stuart, who has served all over the world, including Iraq and Kosovo, set up Re-Create Fitness as he saw the need for a low cost fitness alternative to expensive gym memberships in a time when a lot of households are tightening their belts.

Stuart said “When I left the Army, I became a personal trainer and trained civilians outdoors in a similar way to military training.

“Army training has a social element to it and my bootcamp sessions work in the same way. Each session is different and we work to all fitness levels.

“Getting fit and loosing weight doesn’t have to take place by yourself at a gym.

“I think that exercising in a group really motivates people to succeed and Knutsford is ideal because it has so much open space to use.

“The sessions really are great fun and we’ve even got our own bootcamp Christmas party.”

Stuart is currently running the hour-long bootcamp sessions on Tuesday evenings near Higher Downs, off Manor Park South at 7pm.

The sessions cost £5. For more information, call Stuart on 0843 289 2447 or visit re-createfitness.co.uk.
