COSTA Coffee is coming to Winsford.

The popular coffeehouse chain will open its first shop in the town this week.

Doors will swing open for the first time on Friday (May 10), signalling the latest milestone in Winsford’s £22.5 million regeneration.

A spokesperson for Costa said: “We’re thrilled to be opening our first ever Costa Coffee store in Winsford on May 10, 2024.

“The new store features a convenient drive-thru lane for those on the go, as well as a modern and welcoming indoor space for customers to relax with their favourite Costa coffee.

“We look forward to bringing the nation’s favourite coffee shop to the local community.”

New public spaces and units for businesses are being created as part of the Cheshire West and Chester Council-led regeneration of Winsford.

Work on the unit for Costa Coffee, at the corner of Dene Drive and High Street, began last August.

The site was handed over to the chain in April for the fit-out.

Another of the units is expected to be handed over to B&M early next year ahead of the superstore's opening.
