DRIVERS blocking junctions are being fined as Knutsford police continue to crack down on illegal parking.

Vehicles parking too close to the junction at Grove Park and Toft Road.

A police spokesman said: “Cars should be parking 10 metres (32 feet) away from the junctions otherwise they cause unnecessary view obstruction to vehicles turning into the road.

“Vehicles have been issued with fixed penalty notices for parking too close to the junction on Grove Park junction with Toft Road in Knutsford.”

Police are urging drivers to be more considerate.

Drivers across the town have been fined for flouting the law and causing an obstruction.

People are being warned not to park on the pavement, zigzag lines or near to junctions.

Parents with prams, people in wheelchairs and pedestrians are being forced to walk out into busy roads because footpaths and pavements are blocked by parked cars.
