THE Mayor’s Ball has had to change venue following the collapse of Flat Cap Hotels.

The biggest civic fundraiser of the year was to have been held at The Courthouse on Friday, March 22.

The event has now returned to Cottons Hotel and will take place on the same date, as planned.

Guests will be greeted with a welcome drink and then served a three-course dinner, followed by music and dancing.

DJ Pete Deane and local band The Avenue promise will provide live entertainment.

All funds will go to the mayor Cllr Peter Coan’s two charities, Knutsford GROW and setting up a Knutsford Men in Sheds scheme.

Generous local businesses, including shops and restaurants have donated prizes for a raffle and auction.

Cllr Coan said: “The Mayor’s Ball is always the highlight of the year and this year will be no different.

“It will be a night filled with fun, dancing, and laughter, all whilst raising money for two good causes close to my heart.

“I do hope you can support me in raising as much money as possible."

The Mayor’s Ball is open to all and tickets are £60 per person.

Local businesses sponsoring the ball include Love the Dentist, Slater Gordon Lawyers, Cumming Group, Knutsford Beauty, Redrow, Manchester Airport, Dexter and Jones and principal sponsors Mesoesteetic.

A few sponsorship options are still available, starting at £125.
