A COMMUNITY freshers-style fair could give you a new lease of life.

Knutsford Town Council is bringing back Re-Fresh Knutsford, an event which enables residents to find out more about what’s on their doorstep.

The event returns on Saturday, September 2 at St John’s Church and Egerton Place between 1pm and 3pm.

The event is based on the concept of a ‘freshers fair’ at university, when first year students are able to find out about all the various groups and clubs on campus.

This is a chance for local people to meet and discover local community groups, clubs and other organisations.

Whether it is a new book club, yoga or a way to support the community, there will be something here for everyone to discover.

Laura Anderson, communications officer at the Town Council, said: “Knutsford is so lucky to be home to a large number of fantastic hobby groups, classes and community voluntary groups.

“We want to make sure that local residents know how to reach all of these groups.

“This is a great opportunity for anyone to come along and meet new people and find out more about what’s on offer locally.”

Nearly 40 groups will be taking part, from community groups who work to make the town a better place for all, to hobby and interest groups to learn new skills or share passions.

Admission is free.

Anyone looking to try something new or meet some new people will be spoilt for choice.
