FUN and laughter filled a care home as the local community shared a special event.

Care UK’s Cranford Grange on Hall Lane invited Mobberley residents to a summer music festival.

Staff members dressed up as residents' families, friends and villagers came together for a celebration of live music.

Guests were entertained by host Paul Pinto and several performers.

Joe Cox had people tapping their feet as he sang a selection of classic summer songs.

Geoff Stacks performed residents’ favourite tunes and Steve Ramsbottom played the home’s grand piano.

The festival ended with a medley from more than 60 singers from Knutsford Rock Choir.

A traditional barbecue was served, alongside a chocolate fountain, Pimms, and cocktails from the home'svery own Tikki bar.

Lisa Burrows, general manager at Cranford Grange, said: “We were delighted to have welcomed the local community, friends and families to join in our music festival celebrations here at Cranford Grange.

“The festival was the perfect opportunity to get together with loved ones and enjoy a celebration of live music.

“Many residents at Cranford Grange have fond memories of attending festivals and watching live music in their younger years.

“This event encouraged them to look back and relive these happy times with their younger generations.”

The event was held to celebrate Care Home Open Week, a national initiative that encourages care hopes to showcase what life in a care home is like.
