KNUTSFORD FC have confirmed four pre-season friendlies.

Reds, who have appointed Jordan Gunter as co-manager Nick Ward in a bid to turn round the club’s fortunes after a disappointing 2022-23 campaign, will return to training at Manchester Road on Tuesday, June 27.

And the matches will soon follow.

They will head to AFC Crewe on Saturday, July 15, kick-off 2pm, before entertaining Cheadle Nomads on Wednesday, July 19, kick-off 7pm.

They will be back on home soil when Reds face Alsager Town on Saturday, July 22, kick-off 2pm.

And Knutsford will be on the road again on Wednesday, July 26, for a clash with Sandbach Reserves, kick-off 7pm.

CRICKET:

Mobberley lead Division Two in the Cheshire County Cricket League.

This is after a nine-wicket win at Hale Barns, a success in which Abdul Aqueel took four wickets for 44 runs.

In the Premier Division, Alderley Edge hit the season's highest tally with 331-6 at leaders Neston, with Sam Perry 143, Tom Foreman 75. Neston replied with 244-6, Dane Williams 65.

Toft were trounced by nine wickets at Hyde after being dismissed for 105, Rohan Fernando 32.
