TWO would-be thieves were spotted trying to steal a quad bike from local farm in Knutsford.
Cheshire Police Rural Crime Team say that two men were seen attempting to load the vehicle into a white transit van.
The incident happened in broad daylight today, Wednesday, in the Mere area.

PCSO Kim Bowyer posted on social media: “Fortunately, this was not unnoticed and they were disturbed in the act and fled from the scene.
“The team are busy completing enquiries relating to this incident.
“Please ensure your property and its contents are secure, locked and hidden from criminals.
“Let’s not give them an opportunity to take what you work hard for.
“This incident happened n the middle of the day.”
