PETE Blain delivered a top-drawer performance in helping Tatton A seal top spot in Knutsford and District Amateur Snooker League for the turn of the year.
Tatton A edged a tight 'derby' with their B team in the top-of-the-table clash, aided by a ton-plus score from Blain.
Two points behind Tatton A in second place are Morley Green, who remain second despite losing 4-3 away to Tatton C.
Mobberley A moved up to a season-high third following a 6-1 thrashing of their C team in a match in which Mark Newall scored more than 100 points and had two breaks over 30.
Mere A halted Shaw Heath's recent resurgence with a 5-2 away victory and Wilmslow Cons A defeated bottom team Mere C 5-2, helped by 100-plus frame scores from both Josh Sullivan and John Paul Diamond.
Mobberley B remain in the top half of the table with a solid 5-2 victory over Wilmslow Cons B which included Jeff Gorton making a 30 break.
Adam Griffiths' fine 67 break sees him take the prize for the highest break of the month in December and also take the lead in the season's highest break award – both prizes sponsored by The National Snooker Expo.
