A NUMBER of fantastic individual performances marked the halfway point of the 2022/2023 Knutsford and District Amateur Snooker League.

Most notably these came from Adam Griffiths of Shaw Heath, who made breaks of 80, 77 and 67 - all in the same week!

Two of those breaks came during his victory in an early round of the TC Jay Trophy and the other came during Shaw Heath's 6-1 victory over Wilmslow Cons B.

Shaun Brearly also made a 42 break in the match.

That was the champions' third straight victory and they have now moved into the top half of the table for the first time this season but could this be a bit too late to challenge for the title again?

Tatton A remain a point clear at the top following a tight 4-3 victory over fellow challengers Mobberley C.

The big move in the title chase came from Morley Green who thrashed Mobberley B 7-0, aided by a 39 break from Seb Jackson.

Morley moved up to second and sit just one point behind Tatton A.

Tatton B lost 4-3 in a 'derby' match against their C team but remain in third place.

The match included ton-plus scores for Carl Prince and Steve Prosser.

Mobberley A continued their good run of form with a 5-2 victory over bottom of the table Mere C. Bruce Tulley made a 30 break and Leung Yu and Dave Simcock had 100+ point frame scores.

Mere A defeated Wilmslow Cons A 4-3 in a mid-table clash in which Alec Wright scored 104 points in his frame.
