MORLEY Green are the new leaders of the Knutsford and District Amateur Snooker League after the latest round of matches.

The climbed to the top following two dominant victories this week – 101 points from George Chadwick helped them beat Wilmslow Cons A 5-2 before they thrashed the same club’s B team 7-0 in a rearranged fixture.

One point behind are Tatton B, who continued their fine form with a 6-1 hammering of fellow contenders Mobberley C.

Wilmslow Cons B enjoyed a 5-2 win over Tatton C, helped by a 124-point frame from Jason Lawrence while Tatton’s Chris Parker also had a 100-plus frame score.

Thursday’s matches saw more individual brilliance from Bruce Tulley, who achieved the rare feat of not conceding a single point in his frame.

His 128-point frame score included a break of 51 and his efforts helped Mobberley A to a 5-2 win over high-flying Tatton A.

Elsewhere, Mobberley B enjoyed a fine 6-1 victory against Mere A and Mere C edged out defending champions Shaw Heath 4-3.
