Volunteer Christine Skinner said: “We maintain the beds, planters and baskets at the station.
“This year’s grant from Northern Trains Community Rail Partnership was used to install a water butt and buy compost, bark and plants.”
Christine, Sue Galloway, Karina Stanley and Hazel Todhunter give up their time to make the station look attractive for visitors, residents and commuters.
Britain in Bloom is one of the longest running environmental competitions.
Communities are encouraged to improve the surroundings of their neighbourhood through the imaginative use of trees, shrubs, flowers and landscaping.
Knutsford in Bloom would like to welcome more volunteers to help around the town and at the station.
