A FARMING family is celebrating after scooping yet another prestigious award.

The Lambing Shed Farm Shop has won Local Produce Shop of the Year at the Taste Cheshire Awards 2022 held at Chester Racecourse.

The Knutsford shop and café have been created in a building where farmer Arnold Mitchell and son Michael reared their sheep more than 60 years ago.

Director Kathryn Michell, daughter of owners Sue and Michael, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won Local Produce Shop of the Year amongst some other amazing finalists.

The Mitchell family opened The Lambing Shed at Moseley Hall Farm on Chelford Road in 2015 to showcase their award-winning home reared beef and lamb.

The Lambing Shed was named the UK’s Farm Shop Café of the Year in the Farm Retail Awards earlier this year.

The 80-seater café opens seven days a week and serves a menu based entirely around local, high quality produce and the finest meat from their own butchery.
