Silo fire in Knutsford
CREWS from Birchwood, Sale and Macclesfield extinguished a silo fire at a farm in Knutsford.
They were called to the incident at Mere on Saturday afternoon to tackle the blaze, involving a grain dryer and eight tonnes of grain in the silo.
Crews helped the farmer emptying the silo and used two hose reels to put the fire out.
