MEMBERS of Knutsford Methodist Church enjoyed a joint celebration to mark their 90th birthdays.
Margaret Carmichael, Marjorie Freeman and Noreen Broadbent cut into a special birthday cake made by church member Ronnie Mills.
Cake was also the order of the day for the visit of Canon Andrew White.
“In good Methodist tradition we eat lots of cake at Knutsford Methodist Church,” said Reverend Rob Cotton.
Canon Andrew White, better known as the Bishop of Baghdad, came to speak to our Tuesday afternoon fellowship.
“He was warm, funny and inspirational and his only requirement was cake to which we duly obliged.
“In our churches we celebrate all of the important milestones in our member’s lives, and we rejoiced during our weekly Tuesday lunch with Margaret Carmichael, Marjorie Freeman and Noreen Broadbent, who have celebrated their 90th birthdays.”
