TEENAGERS Nell Jones and Gregory Priestnall and teacher Andrea Goodwin will be remembered in a Memory Walk taking place tomorrow, Friday, in Holmes Chapel.

More than 500 members of the community took part in last year’s walk, which followed the Manchester Arena attack, which claimed the lives of 22 people, including 14-year-old Nell Jones.

Nell was a pupil at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, and the walk was organised by Amy Ware and Alison Wright, cover teacher and cover organiser at the school respectively.

“We invited everybody to come together in the community and show their respects,” said Amy.

“More than 500 members of the community were there, and it was a very heart-warming occasion.

“After many requests we have decided to organise another walk this year. This will be happening at 6pm on Friday, May 25, and we will be meeting at Holmes Chapel Leisure Centre.

“This year we will also be remembering others, alongside Nell Jones, who we have sadly lost through the year, including sixth former Gregory Priestnall and modern foreign languages teacher Andrea Goodwin.

“We are asking everyone to join us and remember those we have lost as a community, alongside personal losses that we may not often get the chance to articulate in the business of our day-to-day lives. Everybody is welcome to join us.”

Andrea Goodwin had worked at the school for more than 15 years, and died aged 49 after battlling cancer.

Sixth former Gregory Priestnall was in Year 13 at the school, and was preparing for his A-level exams.
