A LOWER Withington pupil has been rewarded for his creative talent in an art competition.
Jesse Elston, of Beech Wood School, was awarded first prize for his masterpiece ‘A Pepper’ in this year’s ISA Art Competition for the north from more than 220 entries across 18 schools.
Headmaster James Allen said: “Jesse is a very enthusiastic and hard working young man, we are delighted that he has won this award. Our pupils have shown remarkable creativity and pure talent, I was impressed with the variety of artwork submitted from our Beech Hall pupils.
“Participating in the regional competition was a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase the incredible skills that our pupils possess.”
Beech Hall School in Macclesfield is a non-selective independent school for children aged six months to 16 years old.
Part of the Riverston Group, it is situated in a 16-acre site with two listed buildings, playing fields and a swimming pool.
