A HISTORY talk about how humans have measured time over the centuries will take place next week.
The Weaverham History Society will hold ‘It’s About Time’ talk at The University Primary Academy on Tuesday, November 14, from 7.30pm.
The talk will be given by Professor Ian Morison from Jodrell Bank.
A society spokesman said: “The lecture will show how the passage of time has been measured over the centuries and the problem of synchronising clocks one with another.
“How pulsars provide the most accurate clocks in the universe and how astronomers have been able to calculate when our universe began – the beginning of time.”
Admission to the talk is £2 and is free to students.
The Weaverham History Society meets at 7.30pm on the second Tuesday of the month at the University Primary Academy with a lecture on historical subjects, and goes on historical trips.
