A DARNHALL road will be closed for two weeks while the council begins bridge improvement works.

Hall Lane will be closed at Darnhall Bridge for a fortnight from Monday, November 13.

The closure will allow investigation works to take place on the bridge, with Cheshire West and Chester Council set to invest in 3D laser scanning during the first stage of improvement works.

Cllr Karen Shore, CWAC cabinet member for environment, said: "We are looking at doing a refurbishment of this bridge in the future and need do a 3D laser survey to get accurate dimensions to confirm some of the construction details."

A signed diversion route via Church Minshull will be in place.
