A GROUP of Mobberley mums set off for the climb of their lives today, Thursday, in memory of two of their children who died.
Samara Collins, Caroline Hoyle, Rachel Abel and Nicola Howarth, who met when their children started at Mobberley Primary School, are heading out to Tanzania to take on Mount Kilimanjaro.
The quartet’s 11-day challenge to climb Africa’s tallest mountain is the culmination of a mammoth fundraiser for the fight against Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), of which Caroline’s son Louis died.
Having set out to raise £20,000, the total currently sits around £5,000 higher.
As well as posting updates on training climbs along the way, ‘Louis’ Lullaby Ladies’ hosted The Lullaby Ball in April to boost funds and raise awareness.
