ADAMS Hill will be closed for five nights next week for resurfacing works.
Cheshire East Council’s Highways team will be working on both directions of the road, from the A50 Toft Road down to the King Street junction, between 8pm and 5am for up to five nights from Monday, September 25.
A spokesman said: “The alternative route will be via Toft Road, Seven Sisters Lane, Chelford Road, Goughs Lane roundabout, and Brook Street.
“Pedestrian access to any premises situated within the temporary closure will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and residents where possible.
"This notice will become operative for a period of five days or for such less time as is necessary to enable the works to be completed."
The council notice adds that delays are likely.
