THE family of a Czech student, who was killed in a collision on the A556, have paid tribute to a ‘happy young man’.

Radek Tabor, 24, died after being struck by a red Nissan Juke in Tabley, close to the junction of the A556 and Northwich road.

The incident happened at around 6.45 on Monday, February 6.

In a statement, his family said: “Radek moved to the UK from abroad last summer. Radek was a happy young man with a keen interest in hockey. He leaves a beloved mum, sister niece, friends and colleagues who will all miss him dearly.”

It is believed Mr Tabor was walking to work at the nearby Knutsford Services when the collision happened.

Police are currently investigating the incident, and are asking any witnesses to contact them on 101 quoting incident number 90 of January 6.
