A556 closed near Northwich Road junction following 'serious collision'
POLICE have reopened the A556 from junction 19 of the M6 to the Northwich Road junction following a serious collision that took place this morning.
Officers were at the scene for more than two hours dealing with the incident.
Traffic is still very heavy on the roundabout of junction 19 of the M6 and traffic on the A556 is queued to the Mere crossroads on the A50.
Knutsford Town Council tweeted that the A50 through the town was also very busy as a result of the crash on the A556.
